The Indie Revival Theatre
What sets us apart from other theatres and the mega plexes.
1. Selected seats are recliners, like La Z boys.
2. Expanded concession stand offering various coffees, popcorn seasonings, caramel corn, cookies, gourmet ice cream, etc.
3. A special express line for people getting refills or texted orders.
4. Wi-fi audio streamed to your I-phone for those with hearing difficulties. (you must use earbuds.)
5. Concession stand menus with coded numbers for each item, so you can text your order to the concession stand from your seat and pick it up or, for a fee, have it delivered to your seat. Payment is via movie credits you purchase on-line or with your tickets. This is like a line of credit that you can cash in anytime you want.
6. All cash prices are guaranteed to be $2 dollars less than whatever the megaplex is charging for the same time period.
7. All rows of seats are far enough apart to discourage seat kickers.
8. No babies or infants allowed in the theatre (unless this is discrimination.)
9. A good mix of documentaries, independent, and arthouse films.
10. The largest screen will also have a balcony like the older theatres used to have.
11. An annual film festival at which we show the most popular movies that were voted on, beyond the 12 shown for a month each. Perhaps, this could also be open voting for anybody who visits the website. Have to think about this. See 13 below.
12. Discounted memberships (3 month, 6 month, and one year) as well as multiple movie ticket purchases, like sets of 10.
13. With each movie you see, you get one vote for the movie you want the theatre to play. The votes are tabulated and the largest vote getter movie is shown for a week or two. Votes are tabulated for a month, guaranteeing at least 12 films a year from the customers.
14. A website to vote on movies, view trailers and previews, provide links to other very good sites like IMDB, etc., purchase ticket sets and memberships, purchase concession stand credits, purchase movie memorabilia, DVDs, and see movie schedules for the upcoming month.
15. A shop and museum to purchase movie memorabilia, DVDs, and look at classic movie posters, etc.
16. Two screens show current movies that have played out at the megaplexes and are about to go to pay per view or DVD.
17. Three screens offer managements selection of documentaries, independents, and arthouse films.
18. One screen shows a different movie each day of the week.
19. One screen shows the movie that was most popular in the voting for movies.
